Here at Pen-y-Llyn we have been keeping a close eye on the recent Welsh Government guidance and forecasts, and wanted to update you on our current position and expectations.

To us, our top priorities are Safety, Security and Social-Distancing.

We want to ensure the health and wellbeing of all those on our park and within our local community. Therefore, we have spent the lockdown period improving our park, implementing new safety routines and investing in new measures to keep everyone well. We will be displaying signage around the parks to remind our guests about social distancing and hygiene practices.

We are also continuing with our rigorous cleaning regime but we would advise that you bring your own PPE to use whilst servicing the facilities on your own unit.

We can now announce that we’re ready to reopen on the 13th July 2020 as per the Welsh Government Guidlines without our shared facilities at the moment (toilets & showers) but with the self contained accommodation and open spaces, for guests and owners.

We are a fresh-air hotel - it naturally promotes social distancing - but we’ve gone above and beyond to take even more safety precautions. All of which are now in place and ready for the latest government guidance to allow us to officially open.

All our pitches are large and spacious, enabling ample social distancing. However, we do ask that all guests follow our pitching instructions to make sure this is achieved between touring units.

We have prepared appropriate cleaning regimes, ready to be implemented for the arrival of guests. Plus, staff on-site will be kept well protected with PPE.

As well as this, we will be introducing measures to aid social distancing. Fortunately, the size of the park means there is plenty of space for people to get around easily - each caravan is a minimum of 6 metres from the next!

Although we can not open our indoor facilities yet, there is plenty of great outdoor space at Pen-y-Llyn to enjoy whilst social distancing. There is also Cymyran Beach a short walk from the the park which guests can enjoy.

Along with measures put in place by us,we hope our guests will also travel & stay responsibly. This includes being as prepared as possible by bringing plenty of supplies with you, making sure your cars have full tanks and adhering to social distancing. We kindly ask that you respect social distance in all contacts outside the park. Local relationships are important to us all and some are understandably apprehensive about the potential impacts of returning visitors; they will need reassurance demonstrated by your thoughtfulness.

In Wales, we are subject to the traffic light system to determine when things can open, the current r-target date is the 13th July 2020 - however please be mindfull this may change at any time upto and including the 12th July.

Although there are no dates associated with the traffic light system, the category Pen-y-Llyn falls into - ‘Working or running a business’, is now in the red phase. Once this changes to the amber phase, we will be able to open as an ‘accommodation business without shared facilities’.

We want to thank everyone who has continued to support us - whether sending us messages over social media, email, writing your lovely memories, booking holidays way in the future to help keep us in business - it means a lot and we can’t wait to welcome you back on the 13th July 2020.
